    Reality

"The Best Way Out Is Always Through"  Robert Frost

Facing reality isn't always easy.   But it is wise to look at the problem objectively, intelligently, and then act.  Problems don't get better on their own.  Sonner is better when you need to figure something out.

When looking at a problem objectively and intelligently the very first thing you need to do is pray!!  You need to step back and ask God to show you  the way to go.   God will guide you and He will be there with you as you go through the problem.   But you need to go through.   Don't stop in the middle keep going.   Stopping is not going to do a thing for you.   If you stop in the middle or just towards the end you are getting through and you are staying behind.   There we go again living in the past and not in the moment.

The second thing you need to do is organize your thoughts.   You need to know ahead of time what you are going to do or say.   You never want to just jump right in.   That is not a wise move at all.   Have you ever said something that you know you should never have said?    Have you ever started to do something to get out of a jam and then realized you forgot a small detail that stops everything right in their tracks?    If you would have organized your thoughts things would not have been said or done that were not good.

Now you are ready to act.   You put it all into motion and you do it.  This could be something that you do in just a few moments or something that you do over time.

I pray that everyone that reads this has a blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.

  • The Past

"Philosophy is perfectly right in saying that life must be understood backward.   But one forgets the other clause...that it must be lived forward."   Soren Kierkegaard

You can learn from the past, but you can not change the past.   You can not undo the hurts, you can change what has already been done.   You must live in the minute that you are in.   I am sure that we all wish that there was a time machine that would take us back but there is no such thing.   If you are still living in the past you will never be able to move forward.    Let go of the past, learn from the past and move forward.

What do you want to have accomplished by next October?    What can you do today to put the wheels in motion?  Think about it today as you do something that takes you from the past to the moment!!

Enjoy your day today, keep a smile on your face, and brighten up those who are around you or come in contact with you!   Bring them to the moment!!!

I pray that everyone that reads this has a blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.

    Light and Dark

"To me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle"  Walt Whitman

Live each hour of light with depth, concentration and focus.  Welcome darkness for dreams and rest.

Do you need to rethink your daily schedule?   Are you spending the hours of light with depth?   Are you concentrating on the important things in life?   Are you spending your light hours focusing on what is important?

Are you spending enough time in the light hours in prayer and learning God's word?   If currently you are spending 15 minutes a day in prayer and reading of the Bible,  why not add 5 minutes more.   Increase your time.   You don't have to increase by a whole lot over night.   When I first started a serious prayer and scripture life I would only spend about 15 minutes a morning.    Now I am up to an hour and half each day.   I am not saying that you have to do the same.   It is truly and individual choice and what God is leading you to do.   If you say that you do not have the time, why not try getting up a little earlier.    My personal choice is first thing in the morning after everyone leaves the house.     I don't like to start my day without that time.    I do pray that I will soon be able to crawl out of bed before everyone else and have that time while the rest of my family sleeps.   I just have not managed that one just yet.    You can have your "quiet time" at night if mornings are to hard for you.    But I can guarantee that you will find your days and your life will change so dramatically if you take the time to spend your day in prayer and in God's word.

Are you spending enough time in your light hours to take care of your home?    As a woman you are responsible for keeping up the home.   I am not saying you can't delegate tasks.   But you are ultimately responsible for taking care of the home.

So think about your schedule and where your priorities are.   Change what needs  to be changed.   Pray about and let God direct your day.

Let Go: Live Free of the Burdens All Women Know

I haven't written in my blog in some time!   My shoulder has been hurting way to much for me to do much of anything on the internet.   I do get on, but it has been hard to type one handed.   So sending e-mails takes me a little longer and just about anything takes me a little longer.   What we thought was a rotator cuff injury turns out to be a degenerative disease in my shoulder.   Right now I have physical therapy three times a week.   I am getting some range of motion back.   We are hoping for 80% range of motion to come back, but the reality is that I might only get 60%.   I will take what God wants me to have and adjust my life accordingly.   Right now I am praying that I will be able to move without the pain.   That is something else we are working on in therapy pain management.

One of my favorite bible verses is "God has made everything beautiful in its time."  Ecclesiastes 3:11 I love to look around my surroundings and find all the beauty that God has made.

100_0169 At first glance it looks like nothing much, but when you get up close and really look..oh the beauty.

100_0167 100_0168 There is nothing that God has created that is ugly!   You just need to get up close and personal and you will find the beauty in all things.   Even those crows that fly around have beauty and grace.

We need to learn to relax and take a break every now and then.   It is then that we are able to find peace, love, joy and happiness.   Not to mention then beauty within each one of us.

100_0165 Even our Bella finds time to relax!  And that doesn't happen very often.   We call her our hyper dog.

I pray that everyone that reads this has a blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Go to fullsize image

I saw this picture and thought what a neat idea!   Get a few of those wonderful looking bottles, fill them with water and food coloring and place them on a windowsill that gets the morning light.  A rainbow every morning!!

I was not allowed off the couch long enough to get any pictures of Jared yesterday .   I have such a wonderful loving husband..he watched over me like a hawk all day.

He is letting me go to church this morning, but I have to stay seated...I am not even allowed to get up for Communion.   They will bring it to you, so you are to stay seated..according to Scott!!!   Right after church service I have a quick meeting to go to about the group of us that are going to Women of Faith next week.   I can not wait to go,  I am looking forward to it.   We leave Friday and come back Saturday night.

Attitude!   Have you taken the time to think about your attitude?   What is your attitude about the things you do?  "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."  Colossians 3:23 This verse alone should help you change your attitude.   I remember reading somewhere, I believe one of my Emilie Barnes books, that if you grumble about making your husband's lunch for work every day, think of it as making lunch for Jesus himself.   So even if you are at a job that you do not like, that you do not want to be at..change your attitude and do the work as if you are doing it for the Lord.   When the time is right, God's time that is, that job will change, and your reward will be so great!!  If you are a stay at home mom, you are doing the Lord's work.   Your job is to raise your children to love and worship the Lord.   You are to provide a home of peace, a place that is a sanctuary from the outside world.   Do that job with all your heart!!   It's all about ATTITUDE  So change yours today.

I pray that everyone that reads this has a blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.
