    Excitment begins

Yesterday was just a rainy moody day for me.   I ended up not being able to come home and just relax.  But that is ok.   Last night we were able to just relax for going into bed.   Then of course I was wide awake at 2am!     I spent that bit of time in prayer and I have to say that I am truly getting excited for some down time.    God has been showing me some wonderful things.   I was almost to excited to go back into bed.  I wanted to get started on those glimpses.    I thank God that even in the morning hours the excitement is still there.     I feel as if I have not been this excited about things in such a very long time.

This weekend we are going to go shopping for our porch furniture.   Scott is also going to be working on getting the porch done.   Oh the thoughts of being able to sit out on the porch with a cup of tea or a glass of wine.    Spending time on the porch in the mornings having my quiet time, reading God's Word.   Yes, I am getting excited!

Today is another day at the office for a few hours and then tonight we will go out to supper and then over to church for a Youth Group Mission Team information meeting.   Taylor is wanting to go on a Mission with the youth this year.    I am so proud of how she has grown in her love for the Lord.   It makes my heart swell with pride.   I can only imagine how God feel's when one of His children come to Him in this way.

The other excitement of the moment, Scott said that if he is unable to fix my sewing machine he is going to just buy me a new one!   A part of me is praying that he can't fix it LOL    Taylor even asked him if her and I could go shopping for the new one.  Of course Scott didn't agree with that one very well.   He said no, we will go together to look for one.

I pray that everyone that reads this has a blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.

  • Rainy Day

I keep telling myself April showers bring May flowers.    Yesterday after Scott got home from work he was able to get a little more yard work done.   He used the rototiller to till up an area for a nice flower bed for me to do up in the one corner of our yard.   Now I just need to figure out what flowers I would like there and also a fence that I would like to put up just in that corner.  I am leaning towards flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

After I get home from the office I am going to spend the afternoon just relaxing and reading!   Not watching the boys tonight and I am going to have a bit of alone time before Scott and Taylor get home.  So I am just going to relax.   I feel like I have been going nonstop since last Tuesday.   I need to take just an hour or two of downtime.   Then I will get dinner fixed and then work on laundry.

I pray that everyone who reads this has a truly blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.

"No one lights a lamp and put it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl.  Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light."    Luke 11:33

Do you let your light be seen?    Reading further into this scripture I read:  "Your eye is the lamp of your body.  When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light.  But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness."   Luke 11:34    Evil will add that darkness within.  Thoughts, are away of letting evil in.  Seeing and wanting, is away to let evil in. Watching some TV is away to let evil in, even reading the wrong kind of book can let evil in.   It is something that I never really thought about, but that which the eyes see does go straight to the brain which in turn is letting things in which we really should not let in. The eyes are the lamp which is Christ Jesus.   Do you have Christ Jesus within you?   Is His lamp lit, do your eyes shine!

I go into the office for a few hours today and then I am home to spend time with our grandsons.  We are watching them until Desiree gets out of work at 9:30.    I am praying that the rain hold's off so that Jared can enjoy sometime outside.   It certainly does him good!

Tonight's dinner is another simple one,  ham steaks with some spiced potatoes and peas.   Everything that Jared likes.    I am amazed at what a picky eater he is already and he is only 4.

Well time for me to get moving to go into the office.

I pray that everyone that reads this has a blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.

    Signs of Spring

What a wonderful weekend!  Taylor was confirmed and the whole youth group put on a wonderful service not only Saturday night but also Sunday morning.   Then a bunch of the youth that were confirmed and their families went out to lunch.    It was a truly Blessed weekend.   I need to bring the camera in and download the pictures from the weekend.

Saturday night on our way home after we crossed the railroad tracks we heard the best sign of Spring!  The peepers were out.   That is the most amazing sound to me and I just love to hear it.     That is a sure sign of Spring for me.

I have to go into work this morning and when I get home I am going to get hamburg roll's made for supper tonight.   I was going to just buy a package but I am in a baking mood.   But I might just buy a pack to have on hand in case we loose power.   We have some thunderstorms that might come in this afternoon.   It is something to think about that is for sure.

This is my last full week of work.   After this week is over I will be home most of the time.  I am looking forward to being home and getting the vegetable garden ready and the flower gardens.   Not to mention the remodeling of our front porch.     The porch is step one, then we will move on to the bathroom and kitchen.   I am so excited.

The Lord has truly blessed me with my husband.   He can do so many things, that we are able to do it all ourselves.   That is truly a blessing!   Expense is able to be kept at a minimum.   I am even thinking about sewing the curtains for the porch!

Well I am off to my morning at the office.

I pray that everyone that reads this has a truly blessed day and knows the love of our Lord and Savior.
